SEATTLE- Reports emanating from real estate sources in this city indicate that developer R.C. Hedreen Co. plans to develop a 36-story condominium hotel at the southwest corner of Olive Way and Eighth Avenue downtown.
The property, Olive 8, will include 198 condominium units and 350 hotel rooms along with 15,000 sf of meeting space and business facilities and five stories of underground parking.
According to these same sources, the developer has already received more than 500 sales inquires despite a number of projects going up in the "red-hot" Seattle condo market.
Designed by MulvannyG2 Architecture, the project will be of concrete construction with a glass façade aimed at achieving a luminous quality. Most of the residential units will have private balconies and fireplaces, with high-speed wiring for Internet use, cable or satellite TV capabilities; high ceilings; and a combination hardwood-and-stone flooring with carpet accents.
Residents will have their own game room, lounge and patio with a designated pet area and their own lobby with a full-time doorman. They will also have access to such hotel amenities as the pool, the hot tub, the sauna and steam room, the yoga and fitness center, spa services, dry cleaning, 24-hour room service, housekeeping and concierge. .
