Condo Hotel Gains An Approval In Jacksonville

Another in the continuing stream of new condominum hotels is entering the competitive Lake Buena Vista market.
Local developers on Monday announced the start of construction for the 325-unit, 10-story Regency Suites hotel condominium, located next door to the Dixie Stampede dinner theater and across the street from the Orlando Premium Outlet Mall with 2,000 feet of frontage on Regency Village Drive.
Projected opening is scheduled for late 2007.
The 364,000 square-foot project is being constructed on 5.37 acres. The luxury property will feature ten different one- and two-bedroom floor plans, priced from $250,000.
Regency Suites I LLC, the developer, includes Howard Shapiro, a South Florida developer, and Orlando developer Nilda Rivera, attorney Carlos Bonilla and developer Joel Slater.
The general contractor is The Douglas Co. of Orlando. The architect is Architects in Partnership of Winter Park.
